Coding Advantage, LLC started with Sonda teaching the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) classes at night in a local hospital in 2013. The company grew organically through providing additional certification courses for practice management and medical auditing. Year after year we grew from a one-person company to over 30 dedicated team members from around the US performing coding, billing, auditing,
and compliance support services.
We have experience with many specialties, but have special expertise with functional medicine and behavioral health providers. Our company is responsible for many organizations’ bottom line, providing billing services to both one-provider practices, as well as organizations with over 200 providers. We take ownership over our work and partner closely with our clients to make sure they get the reimbursement they deserve through compliant, sound billing services.

With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, my expertise includes comprehensive knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding concepts, documentation and training, compliance, and healthcare reimbursement methodology. My experience comes from working in a variety of positions both as an outside consultant and as a professional within hospital-owned and private medical practices.
I hold extensive experience with review and correct application of various healthcare regulations. I currently hold many nationally recognized certifications in coding, billing, auditing, and compliance and have also
served as an instructor for ICD-10 and Advanced Coding at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio.

Speaking and Consulting are my two favorite things to do!! I love when we can get a community of people together to discuss coding, billing, and documentation!! I really love to get a crowd engaged and laughing while learning things that contribute to an increase in revenue! Humor and dedication to continual learning are essential in running a profitable healthcare organization whether your practice is medical or behavioral health. Whether there are 3 people, 300 or 3000, I’m speaking to, the more engaged I can get the attendees the better!

attendees a bit more than virtual, I promise I can make your virtual meetings or conference just as successful!! I’ve also been a guest on healthcare related podcasts and welcome those opportunities if it is a good fit.
